2010 Donation Goal

As a not for profit organisation, Royal South Street relies on revenue generated from entry fees, admissions, merchandise, sponsorship, grants and donations to cover the costs of staging the annual event. A donation to our Prize Fund goes towards assisting Royal South Street distribute prize money and trophies to the value of $95,000, to prize winners across sixteen performing arts disciplines.

The Prize Fund currently relies on trusts, sponsorship and donations with the Society contributing any short fall required. While sponsorship and donations have increased in 2009 by 55% on 2008, these still fall a long way short of covering the cost of the prize money awarded.

Our goal for 2010 is to increase donations to the Prize Fund by 30% which equates to raising an additional $30,000.

If we achieve this goal we will raise enough money through donations and sponsorship to pay the $95,000 of prize money and trophies which will be distributed throughout the 2010 competition. Your donation to our Prize Fund will ensure we continue to attract a high calibre of competitors from across Australia, as well as assist in maintaining our reputation as the longest running premier Eisteddfod on the Australian performing arts calendar for many generations to come.

All donations to our Prize Fund over $2 are tax deductible.

As an individual, you can support the Royal South Street Society through an individual donation. All individuals that make a donation will be listed in our annual report and on our donors page on our website.

There are a number of easy ways to make a donation.
