Volunteers General Information and Application form General Information and Application formThe Royal South Street Society is seeking enthusiastic people to become involved as volunteer Backstage Assistants and Front of House Staff for the Competitions. The Competitions have over 15 disciplines that cover almost any area of theatrical interest that you might have including Drama, Singing, Debating, Calisthenics, One Act Plays, Brass Bands, Theatre Organ, Piano, Modern Vocal and Country & Western. Volunteers are a vital part of the Competitions. You have the opportunity to contribute to a positive, worthwhile community activity with the added bonus of gaining personal satisfaction and enjoyment. Experience is not essential, just an open mind, a good heart and the wish to give as well as receive. Backstage Assistants are involved in registration of items, music, text and general duties behind stage to facilitate the very best performance conditions for the Competitors. Ushers and Door persons ensure the safety and comfort of the audience. Time involvement is as much or little as you want to do. We are sure that once you experience the event you will join those that keep coming back to the Competition. The Competitions run from July to November.
